Melissa J. Payor-Mackiewicz

Melissa formed MJPMLAW in October 2015. She was barred by the State of New Jersey in 2009 and has been practicing both Real Estate Law and Workers Compensation Law since 2010.

Melissa J. Payor-Mackiewicz graduated with honors from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2005.  She received a duel Bachelor of Arts, first in Law and Society and a second in Theater.

In 2007 she interned at the Attorney General’s Office New Jersey Transit department. At which time she worked with Land Use variances and police union disputes. In 2008 she interned for the Somerset County Prosecutors officer where she argued municipal court appeals.  She later clerked for both The Honorable Paul W. Armstrong in Superior Court Somerset County Criminal Division and Federal Judge Tonianne Bongiovanni.

In 2009 she obtained her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Camden School of Law. In 2010 she obtained her Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Monmouth University.

Melissa J Payor–Mackiewicz has also practiced in the fields of Insurance Defense Litigation, Criminal Defense, Municipal Defense and Collections.
